The sensation, 19-time Grand Slam tournament winner Novak Djokovic and world No. 1 gets in the mood for Wimbledon by participating in the doubles at the Mallorca Championships at the Mallorca Tennis & Country Club Santa Ponsa from 19 to 26 June 2021 with 1,500 spectators daily. These players will serve at the ATP Mallorca
This year, the US OPEN champion (ranked 4th in the world), the Austrian, Dominic Thiem will lead the players with the Australian Nick Kyrgios, and the Spanish tennis legends Fernando Verdasco, Feliciano López and Pablo Carreño (ranked 12th). All of whom are guaranteed to pull the crowds and provide some exciting tennis. The tournament will also focus on new players coming through such as the Norwegian, Casper Ruud (ranked 16th) and all the players will use this event as their set-up ahead of the third Grand Slam of the season, The Championships at Wimbledon.

The first ATP sustainable tournament
The ATP Mallorca Championships will also test an initiative to become a sustainable event, with the support of Ecovidrio, the non-profit organisation that manages the recycling of glass and packaging waste in Spain. Ecovidrio will measure the water, waste, and carbon footprint of the tournament to make it the first tennis event of its kind to control and reduce its impact on the environment for the future.
This project will help raise awareness of the spectators’ environment and provide a platform for other sporting events. At the tournament, spectators will be encouraged to recycle their glass bottles and shuttle buses from Palma to the Mallorca Country Club will be free of charge for those spectators who hand in the corresponding containers at the recycling points set up for this purpose. All the tennis balls used by the players throughout the tournament will be sold. All proceeds will be donated to the Mallorca Foundation to preserve the island’s ecosystem.

Spectators will be able to enjoy this open-air event with social distancing. Tickets are now on sale from 1€ as a special promotion up to 265€ for a VIP ticket. Standard tickets cost approximately 35€.
